Patkum Museum (पातकुम संग्रहालय, পাতকুম সংগ্রহালয়) is a circular building with wrap around deck. Some ancient remains of rock-cut temples and sculpture are kept here. Some say those are thousands of year old but in reality, they are from the medieval era. They were found during excavation during the dam construction and from the nearby areas. Located beside the museum this is an open-air venue used for tribal culture programs, entertainment, and performances. It is a good spot for photography.
Jayda Mandir

Ancient Jayda Mandir (जोयदा मंदिर / জয়দা মন্দির) is situated on the bank of river Subernarekha with the dense forest around. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and it is one of the pilgrimages of Jharkhand. Jayda Temple is 6.5 km away from Chandil Dam and can be reached from Tata-Ranchi Highway. A three-day fair held every year on the eve of Makar Sankranti (Tusu Festival). Also, the temple is one of the most visited during the month of Sawan.
Palna Dam

Surrounded by picturesque hills and lush green forests, Palna Dam (पाल्ना डैम/পালনা ডেম) is a reservoir located 12 km from Chandil Dam. The site is another popular picnic spot and a tourist attraction. It was built in the year 1985. Ranka Juria, a small river feeds the reservoir. The main purpose of Palna Dam is to supply water for Irrigation and water conservation.
