Outside Jamshedpur City 

Dimna Dam (1 Day)

After completing the Jamshepur City its time to move towards the hills. Your next destination should be the Dimna Lake. Dimna Lake is located at around 13 km from Jamshedpur. It is an artificial lake made by Tata Steel at the foothills of Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary. The lake is one of the favorite and most picturesque location for Picnic. There are boating and other water sports facilities provided including jet skiing and rowing in this lake. Sunrise and sunset views are amazing.

Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary (1 Day)

Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary at Jamshedpur is the most preferred wildlife sanctuary in the Jharkhand which is worth to explore. Entrance to Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is at Saherbera 15 km from Dimna Chowk on Tata-Ranchi Highway (NH-18). From the entrance you have to travel 15 km further to reach the Hill Top. There are small hideouts within the sanctuary to view the wild animals in their natural habitat.

Leopard, Barking Deer, Mouse Deer, Sloth Bear, Monkey, Giant Squirrel are abundant here. The sanctuary is an ideal spot for trekkers. Accommodation conveniences are available in the forest guest house. The best time to visit is from October to June. Bookings can be made from the Forest Range Office, near Payal Talkies, Mango, Jamshedpur. The forest rest house at Pindrabera is located at such a place that from its roof and terraces one can have a bird’s eye view of distant points including steel city of Jamshedpur. At hilltop there are temples of Lord Shiva and Hanuman, where a large number of devotees flock during the festival of Shivratri.

You can leave for the Ajodhya after enjoying the spectacular sunset at Chandil Dam. It is around 56 km from Chandil Dam.
